We lost a couple of sand cherries last year. They were dug out and planted in an unattended dry place in our yard which is difficult to get to so they just dried up and died when we had a mini drought. There was one left which we thougt was dead too but it came back in spite of winter dieback. That's a tough plant. Yours should do well once the weather warms up. Just like cilantro is tough and readily self seeds. Great early spring plant pictures.
