sorry for the lapse in gardening, but we've been having a very busy summer....
on July 24th, we found out that we are expecting a bundle of joy! confirmed by the doctor on August 10th, we are looking forward to seeing Baby V on or around March 13th, 2007.
on a gardening note, however, one of my aversions (aside from feeling sick and puking, fatigue, and gagging to bad smells) is gardening, and, sadly, to whole tomatoes. so, i'm afraid the only ones who have been eating my home grown tomatoes are the birds and my dog. i don't know if tomatoes are toxic to dogs, but my dog, who continuously defies death due to eating everything (she even slurped down a prenatal vitamin), seems to be fine.
so, unfortunately, unless my aversion subsides anytime soon, i will most likely be blogging about fall clean up next. wish everyone bright and juicy tomatoes and a gardening delight for the remainder of the gardening year! and wish me luck!

Congratulations!!! :)
Don't worry about the dog--mine eats tomatoes all the time and they haven't hurt her yet. I, however, wanted to strangle her the year that she got the FIRST FIVE ripe tomatoes out of my garden! She wasn't allowed in the backyard again until #6 was safely harvested and consumed. lol.
Congratulations, Rachelle! I totally understand where you're coming from with the aversions. I found out I was pregnant with both of my daughters in early spring, just when I give everything a good dose of fish emulsion....let's just say I never got past opening the bottle :-)
I'm so happy for you. Good luck!
I'm happy for you . . . a new little person coming to live with you and learn how to garden with you.
By now he or she must have arrived.
